With influences including Iron Maiden, Nightwish and The Offspring, Pyre combine a mix of soaring melodies, pounding riffs and memorable hooks to create their own slant on contemporary metal. Using a symphonic driven, almost orchestral basis for their music, Pyre are set apart amongst much of the UK metal scene. Check them out on: www.myspace.com/pyreweb
2–4 The Dr. Spacetoad Experience

Performing this Saturday (6th of Feb) at the Brunswick Pub in Hove will be Dr Spacetoad’s 1st appearance in Brighton since 2007 and promises to be another great RMC historic event!
4–6 Baba Slips
Baba Slips are a five-piece eclectic funk outfit, who have been playing in and around Brighton since 2007. Their sound is a synthesis of funk, soul, blues, afrobeat, dub, reggae and hip hop with a strong enough vein of pop running through their sets to keep the live shows exilharating and the hooks stuck in your head for weeks afterwards. Having rocked most of the main venues in Brighton including the Komedia, The Conchord 2, The Blind Tiger Club Speakeasy and the Volks, and following the success of several Glastonbury sets, Baba Slips are currently working on new material and gigging, as you would expect, and widening their scope beyond the parameters of Brighton. Get in contact at www.myspace.com/babaslips. They are playing a free gig at the Cobblers Thumb pub, Preston Circus on Feb 19th at 9PM.
6–8 Lower the Tone
Guitar driven electric blues extravaganza formed in 2007 by SW. Prepare for face-gurning solos and angelic harmonies!! (Ok, maybe not angelic…)
