TIMOTHY NEWMAN: Tim will be play­ing us some lit­er­ally heavy tunes on his acous­tic gui­tar, he is an acom­plished singer song­writer and is in the pro­cess of put­ting together a band, but before they are com­plete Tim is play­ing solo gigs around Brighton regularly. His music has a big low warmth to it, but clearly Tim has been heav­ily influ­enced by grunge and metal, which also shows through amidst that warmth.

MONTY: Play­ing some dirty folky blues all writ­ten in the last couple of months in his bed­room, this will be the first time Monty has played to any kind of audi­ence on his own. Monty has been and still is a part of vari­ous bands, but now is writ­ing his own music and hopes to put other musi­cians to it as soon as pos­sible. Tak­ing influ­ence from many genres, his music is min­im­al­ist and raw, but for the most part is simply dirty folky blues…

Violet Soci­ety: ”Violet Soci­ety are a band that star­ted up in late Janu­ary 2009. All mem­bers of the band are cur­rently or have pre­vi­ously been to Brighton Insti­tute of Mod­ern Music. The band has three main song­writers giv­ing them a var­ied sound from song to song. With a mix­ture of influ­ences from many styles the band have come together to cre­ate this some­what unique sound for all of your will­ing ears to hear.”
