One Day Workshop For Strings

The workshop is on Saturday 3rd March, 10am-4pm, at the Cornerstone Community Centre, Church Road (next to Palmeira Square).
We’ll be covering topics such as acoustic looping, isorhythms and improvisation, scordatura tuning & extended technique (& much more) — if you’re new to these areas all the better! Being able to read music isn’t essential — just bring your instrument.
This Brighton String Workshop is facilitated by Lizzy Carey & Bela Emerson, both experienced and enthusiastic music leaders & tutors, as well as professional contemporary string players.
Cost: £40 advance (£30 concessions/if you book before the end of January) — £50 on the day.

Organ Recital at Sussex University Tuesday 6th December

If you find yourself on Sussex Campus on Tuesday 6th of December at 13:15 why not head over the the Meeting House for a free organ recital performed by James Lloyd-Thomas, the University’s organist? Lasting just over half an hour it’s the perfect way to soak up some live classical music halfway through the day, and is open to all.

Brighton Music Review is presented by Matt MacNeill at 5.30pm every Monday evening on Radio Free Brighton. Each week we play the latest music from, aswell as interview, Brighton’s many bands. The first half of the show we play music that local artists have sent in and in the second half of the show we concentrate on a specific local artist each week and discuss any new releases or tour dates they would like to promote.
