New Show Tonight at 9pm; Pots and Pans
by jackie on Aug.25, 2011, under Uncategorized
Forged on by the banks of the river Mersey. Sent by an unknown force to bring light into these dark times. Writer of drivel, speaker of nonsense, Jonny Russell will take you on a weekly Busman’s Holiday through music history — if you let him. “Who he?” You ask. Does it matter? He is the keeper of the communion wafers, he is the weaver of (bad) dreams. He likes good stuff and that. Sit back, relax and don’t hog all the biscuits. It’s Pots and Pans.

I’m the Development Officer for the Harvest Project at the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership. Part of my role is to work with and support new and existing food growing projects in schools and communities. Things I can help with include information and advice about funding, starting a new project, and promoting your project. I help coördinate the Harvest gardening advice scheme, the Harvest Share programme, the Harvest newsletter and the Food Partnership’s Good Food Grants. More about Harvest at www.harvest-bh.org.uk. More info about the support we can offer projects at www.harvest-bh.org.uk/groups. Today I’ll be spreading the word about the Harvest Share programme, a way for home gardeners and allotment produce to share their surplus produce with great projects around the community – very timely given we’re entering that abundant time of the year! Harvest has got loads going on over the next couple of months, so I’ll be giving an update about our upcoming events and training courses too. |
