Hi folks,
Less than a week after we reopened in our splendorous new studio, we’ve got bored of it all and decided to get out and about.
Accordingly, we’ll be broadcasting live from the Lewes Road Community Garden between 12:30 and 6pm. There’s lots going on down there today, so pop along if you can. (Here’s a facebook event with details.)
Hope to see you there. Stay tuned.

Grand (re)Opening
by Tom Wright on Apr.19, 2010, under News
We’ve arrived. We’ve finally arrived.
It’s been a long, hard month of lugging, hefting, building and decorating. But now we’re here and we’ve got a lot to celebrate. We’ve got brand new recording facilities, one of the biggest rehearsal rooms in Brighton and a beautiful, dedicated space for the radio.
Which is why we’re throwing a party.
And we’d be delighted if you’d join us. So come along on Friday the 23rd of April for a night of your favourite Brighton bands.
We’re also honoured to be joined by Caroline Lucas, who will be cutting the ribbon. Caroline is the Green Party candidate for Brighton Pavilion in the upcoming general election and has long been a friend of Radio Free Brighton.
Schedule:
- 5:30 — Music by BOY COM
- 6:30 — Opening ceremony with Caroline Lucas
- 7:00 — India from Brighton Peace Choir
- 7:10 — Music by Deadbeats
- 7:40 Music by Turtle
- 8:00 Music by Paper Faces
- 8:40 Music by Violet Society
- 9:15 Music by Lower the Tone
- 10:05 Music by Marebito
You can RSVP on the Facebook event.
Help us move!
by Tom Wright on Mar.14, 2010, under News
Exciting news: Radio Free Brighton (and our Music Workshop chums) are on the move! This week Under the Bridge Studios is moving to a more spacious and more central (though still sub-bridge) location!
BUT we need your help. We have just four days to turn a set of victorian stables into musical mecca. If you’re free at any point from Thursday to Sunday, we’d be very grateful for any help you can offer. It’s a big job, so there’ll be lots of ways for everybody to help, regardless of your abilities. (Though if you know a plumber…)
Email us on studio@radiofreebrighton.org.uk or ring Jackie on 07799 564 620
UPDATE: We now have a Facebook event, so you can RSVP.
